A system within planetary boundaries

We aim to help build an economy that will allow us to reach drawdown and sustain low CO₂ levels. Working remotely is a small step in the right direction.

CARBON-REDUCTION-FiRST

Businesses are usually considered successful if they make a profit. Our business model is based on Carbon-Reduction-First. This means we are successful if carbon emissions have been reduced and remain below a threshold (our planetary boundaries). We believe this model should be adopted by all businesses as soon as possible.

Carbon-Neutral

We pledge to always be carbon-neutral at the minimum. If at any point we exceed our carbon budget, we will direct revenue into carbon sequestration.

Carbon-Reducing / Negative Emissions

We currently allocate a minimum of 10% of our revenue to carbon sequestration and environmental projects, to ensure negative emissions.

What do we fund?
TREE PLANTING, REWILDING & Direct Air Capture

Reaching drawdown is going to require drastic changes to all aspects of society, but as well as reducing our existing emissions, we must clean up the CO₂ we have already emitted. Tree planting, rewilding, and Direct Air Capture are a few ways to achieve this.

Renewable Energy

Solar, wind, and wave power.

Environmental Justice

"Environmental justice is the fair treatment and meaningful involvement of all people regardless of race, color, national origin, or income, with respect to the development, implementation, and enforcement of environmental laws, regulations, and policies." (USEPA, 2017)

OUR SERVERS

The servers running the Remotish software are carbon-neutral.

OUR Premises

Our premises run on 100% renewable electricity.

Third Party Policy

Our payment processor Stripe has made a negative emissions commitment.

IPCC Targets

As sourced from the Carbon Majors report we have disabled registration for the top polluting companies unless they provide strong evidence of compliance with IPCC targets.
